"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined!" -Thoreau
After 25 years of chasing "success" in Healthcare Information Technology Sales Leadership and Operations, as a life-long dog lover, I finally mustered the confidence to start living my dream of owning a pet retreat. Since moving to Southlake in 2002, my daily drives by the former Bark & Purr were a constant reminder of the possibility and it was only after a series of health struggles and personal triumphs that, together with the support of his family, it was time to take the plunge! Every day since, is a new learning, a new challenge, a new joy. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members, learning about your dreams, and sharing our experience. Stop by and visit.

Emory, Kelsey and Skylar: My greatest blessings! Dragons since Kindergarten, two of my daughters Emory and Kelsey both graduated from the University of Texas in Austin and have subsequently started their respective careers in the Windy City where they were born. (Let's Go Cubs!) My youngest daughter (the only native Texan) chose a different path with colleges and attends Oklahoma University and yes we have a house divided especially on Saturday afternoons. We truly have a strong and healthy community that has been perfect for raising my girls and I am grateful for my friends and neighbors who make that happen. Passion for animals is in the Grayson DNA!
Ollie, Banks and Chance: Meet our Labs! Ollie is the epitome of a classic English Lab who is beyond lazy and is treat driven. Banks is a part English and American Chocolate Lab and has the greatest disposition for there isn't another pup that he's met that he doesn't love him! Chance is an American Lab that is full of love and makes the best expressions with both his ears and eyes. Chance has also taught Banks the art of going on long trail hikes.
Dakota: Rescued dogs are truly priceless! We rescued Dakota shortly after we started Southlake Classic Pet Retreat and she is a circus dog that is crazy funny! After 23 years of multiple big dogs, I have learned how special small dogs are as family members.
Bruno and Maverick: These two knuckleheads are my "grand" dogs! Though they no longer come and visit, they are well taken care of at a facility in Chicago that has the same philosophy as ours where pups play, play, play!
